The Didasko Files are published for The Lausanne Movement, which was founded by the American evangelist, Billy Graham. John Stott, the British pastor-theologian, is Honorary Chairman.
The Movement’s Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization takes place in Cape Town, South Africa, 16-25 October 2010. It will draw 4,000 evangelical leaders from 200 nations. Screen down to find out how to take part.
The six plenary expositors have been named as:
Ruth Padilla Deborst (Latin America)
Calisto Odede (East Africa)
John Piper (North America)
Vaughan Roberts (Europe)
Ramez Atallah (North Africa)
Ajith Fernando (South Asia)
You are invited to join in where you are. Hundreds of seminaries, churches and mission agencies around the world will host a GlobaLink site, where thousands more leaders and influencers in many nations may interact with the Congress. Could you host a site?
Join the first global conversation of its kind. Engage with other evangelicals from around the world on some of the toughest issues we face. This conversation will feed into discussions at the Congress. We trust it will also lead to many strategic partnerships, to enable hundreds of new, creative and courageous initiatives. We are Christ’s ambassadors for our generation. We need to talk, to strategize, to work side-by-side, and above all to pray.
We invite evangelical churches, mission agencies, publishers and book distributors to express support of the Third Lausanne Congress by printing and distributing a ’joyful partnership’ bookmark (see sample). To do this, email us your logo in hi-res (300dpi). We will drop in your logo, and return to you for printing. Translation of the bookmark will be made available in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Swahili, Portuguese, Russian. In other languages, we would ask that the translation be handled by someone with experience in translating evangelical literature of this nature.
We can let you know when new Didasko File titles become available. You can also keep in touch by becoming a fan of the Didasko Files on facebook.
Keep in touch with what’s happening in world evangelization. We can send you Lausanne World Pulse ten times per year, to bring you updates on the major theological, cultural and practical challenges globally.
